Upper Iowa University assistant professor dies in crash (WHO-TV Des Moines)

MAYNARD, Iowa The director of the athletic training program at Upper Iowa University has died in a car crash. A sport utility vehicle driven by 38-year-old Brooke Kerns, of Oelwein, was struck by a trailer that had disconnected from an oncoming dump truck.
